Project of general waste data report management

Absrtact
Due to the prolonged lack of an integrated information management system, the related management and operation of household waste has experienced problems in properly managing the information; it has also added un-necessary administrative burden on implementing agencies by causing repeated declarations. Since the launch of integrated household waste resource management work plan in 2012, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has progressively completed the infrastructure planning for the Household Waste Management Information System (HWMS), set up accompanying operating guidelines for management work, administered promotional work for research, negotiations, and mediations, in addition to conducting related research and analysis as well as integrated management focusing on garbage classification and source reduction. Meanwhile, three action plans have been established and put forth. Based on the aforementioned background, this plan continues to build on the investigative management of items including household waste removal and processing funds, control of waste cooking oil, review and adjustment of public affairs statistics, electronic operation of declaration cases, as well as system maintenance/operation, and quality control/checking/auditing of declaration procedures, in order to effectively integrate and enhance related information management capabilities regarding household waste; to help the EPA grasp accurate information and to enhance long-term information management capabilities to provide reference for policy making.
